Euthymia: ‘Tranquility;’ the sense of our own path and how to stay on it without getting distracted by all the others that intersect it; leisure is an integral part
Ta eph’hemin, ta ouk eph’hemin: What is up to us, what is not up to us
άνέχου and άπέχου: Persist and resist
Logos: Reason; the principle which separates the divine from the rest of the universe; the die Schnitt or ‘split’ between human and animal
Pathos: A quality, as of an experience or work of art that arouses feelings of pity, sympathy, tenderness, compassion, or sorrow
Ethos: Credibility or character; the moral element or disposition that determines action rather than thought or emotion
Telos: Full potential or inherent purpose or objective of a person or thing, similar to the notion of an ‘end goal’ or ‘raison d’être’. Moreover, it can be understood as the supreme end of man’s endeavor

Sympatheia/συμπάθεια: Connectedness with the cosmos, ‘Oceanic feeing,’ a sense of belonging to something larger
sub specie aeternitatis: from the perspective of eternity
Oikeiôsis: ‘Familiarization with’ or ‘appropriation of’ other people’s concerns as if they were our own
Hypolêpsis: literally “grasping under” or “taking up.” It is whenever your mind creates an automatic value judgement that with which you have the power to assent or dissent
Providence: ‘General plan of the cosmos’
Pantheistic: Identifies God as being apparent within Nature but is absent and void of a personality
Panentheistic: More meta view where God is pantheistic yet pervades the universe as well. Distinctly in and from beyond the universe
Katâlepsis: a philosophical term referring to the idea of grasping or apprehending something with certainty or conviction, often used in discussions about knowledge and belief
Saṃsāra: an eastern philosophical term literally meaning “wandering” or “world,” with the connotation of cyclic, circuitous change
